Born and raised in New York City, Leonard Meiselman received his art
education at the Cooper Union, the Skowhegan School of Art in Maine
and the Cranbrook Academy in Michigan. After living in Florence, Italy,
he returned to the United States and now maintains studios in New York
Meiselman has had one-person exhibitions at the Camden Arts Center in
London, the Yeshiva University Museum in New York, the Holocaust Center
in Manhasset and elsewhere. His paintings have appeared in group shows,
including the Allan Stone Gallery in New York, the Florence Biennale
(Palazzo Strozzi) and the Hebrew Union College Museum in New York. In
2007, Meiselman founded ArtCriesOut.com, a website for protest art.
